A Talk on the Border (Kyle)

Kyle smiled as he watched Holo. He usually knew when she had music in her head. He quietly walked over to her, hoping to scare her. If she was scared he's chuckle to himself. If she wasn't then he'd just smile. He loved seeing her in her wolf form. She looked so adorable. He loved her eyes in her human form though. They were always so fearsome but pretty. She definitely had the face for a wolf girl. Beautiful and majestic but dangerous and life threatening.

"Shouldn't you be paying attention to your job, you know if you got hurt i'd have to kill someone," Kyle said smiling at her. He was in his human form, his normal casual clothes on, his masking hiding is face, but this time his hair wasn't slicked back. It was hanging in front of his face and over his mask a bit. He couldn't help but smile at the young soon to be beta. He would volunteer first as her protector, to keep her safe.

"No, i came on my own," Kyle said. When she was changing he'd turned his back to her, not wanting to seem rude. When he knew she was done, he turned his attention back to her. "I'm not disturbing you am i?" he asked. He'd hate to be an inconvenience to her, especially sense he tries his hardest to keep her happy while protecting her at the same time.

He wanted to get this post with her but they had him on the night shift. He loved the night shift but sometimes being alone wasn't the best thing in the world, even if you did get to hum to yourself and not have anyone around to laugh at you when you screwed up. Kyle wouldn't mind if it was Holo laughing, he'd laugh too if she was laughing at him.

"I will stay but why did you wink at me and say i'd be a distraction?" Kyle asked, blushing a bit. He knew that Holo was strange but the wink and flirty attitude he wasn't used too. He sat beside her and looked at her then quickly turned his attention to the forest in front of him. Holo was a very strange girl and her sens of humor was even more strange. Course, he still wasn't sure if she was kidding or being serious when she winked at him. He hoped that Holo wouldn't start developing a crush on him. 'I mean she's pretty but... she's like a little sister to me,' he thought to himself.

Kyle smirked at her and felt the need to quote from the Princess Bride, it was so fitting for this moment. "As you wish," he said then his smile faded. What song would he sing for her? It's not like he could come up with one on the spot. Maybe she meant something that she knew? Maybe something to calm her down? He hoped he got this right.

Kyle started to sing Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. He felt it was ironic because the sun would be going down soon and the scene for the song would be perfect. Just the idea of singing that song at night along with how he looked gave him goose bumps. "Softly, deathly, music shall caress you, hear it, feel it, secretly possess you, open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind in this darkness that you know you can not fight. The darkness of the Music of the night...."

Kyle smiled and kept singing. He felt Holo react to hearing something. He looked up at the same time she did, still singing though to act as if he didn't hear it. He saw nothing as well, probably just a small animal. Just in case though, Kyle would stay on his toes, anything to keep Holo safe. That was his job as a guard, and specifically, Holo's guard. He had to keep the future beta safe. Any harm happens to her, he'd do five times the damage to that person.

Kyle noticed her ears and tail was out. He smirked at them, finding them adorable. He kept on singing though, "Let your mind start a journey to a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be. Only then can you belong to me." His voice changed perfectly with how the actors would sing it in the musicals and in the movie, wanting to make her relax a bit. He could tell she was tense.

Kyle smiled up at Holo as she stood on top of the tree. He loved when she got lost in her thoughts. He decided it best to follow her, though he knew he'd get into more trouble getting up and down the tree than she did only after her started getting half up the trunk.

He continued to climb, almost falling a few times. Each time he lost his grip his heart raced, thinking he was going to fall to his death. This tree was huge and he was surprised his grip hadn't lost as he continued to climb, or at least one of the branches at the top didn't break. Two people on top of tree branches probably wasn't the best for them.

Kyle got to the top and gripped onto Holo's hand. "Sorry... i just didn't want to fall and die," he said and chuckled as he looked at her with a weak smile. He didn't like heights but it was better than staying below and being bored.

Kyle ignored her as he tried to get down, he nearly fell twice, but was able to get down. Or he at least got to the last branch. Now was the hard part, trusting himself not to fall on his face if he let go. He knew Holo would be egging him on to get down, but he wasn't much for heights. Kyle closed his eyes and fell down. When he fell down his mask came off and he quickly covered his face. "Shit..." he muttered. He looked over at Holo who was probably on the ground now. "Could you help me?" he asked, looking around for his mask.

Kyle sighed and slowly removed his hand. He put his hand out of the mask, "Hand it over...." He knew Holo must be disgusted by the sight of his deformed face, who wouldn't be. That's why he wears his mask. He waited for her to hand him back his mask. If he she did he would put it on his face and turn his back to her. But if she didn't, he was going to threaten her to give it back, glaring at her until she did so. If he needed too he would even pin her down to get it back. He hated how his face looked. He had always saw himself as a monster.

Kyle pushed her against the tree and glared. He ripped the mask from her hands, knowing that he could do so, especially when he was angry. "You have no right to lie to me about how i look. I know it is a lie because i can see by the look in your eyes that i am nothing but a monster. Are you happy now?! Are you happy now that you have been able to gaze upon what is the most hideous creature of all!? Now you will never be able to escape that sight! It will forever haunt your nightmares and i.... I will have now lost...." He fell to his knees after saying his words. While he spoke loudly he gripped her shoulders and pushed her harder against the tree. But as his words started to fade... he became distant, in fact he fell to his knees, tears streaming form his eyes.

"Monstrous, they say... hideous, they say.... I am nothing compared to you, or Tyler, or Christine... i'm not even close to you or Christine.... You two are far too lovely to even be in the same room as me, let alone my friends. Holo forgive me... forgive me for hurting you.... Kick me aside, like the trash i am..." he muttered. Kyle couldn't help but cry at her feet, so pathetic, so useless, so ugly.
