"We wantedTyler had a normal childhood. He loved to spend time with his friends, and invite them over for parties.
He even had a somewhat normal adolescents. Aside from the fact that his father had him get more involved in pack affairs since he'd be making over as alpha as as in as he was 18 and found his mate. He still hung out with his friends, went to parties, and even got drunk on occasion. He knew he was different from everyone else. He could tell just by the look they gave him. Most, it was a sign of respect, some were envious, and others looked away, rather Han meet their future alpha directly in the eye. It's not that he was intimidating or anything, it was just how some wolves reacted in the presence of their alpha and future alpha.
But then everything changed.
It all happened so fast. He had just gotten back from the biggest party he's been to in awhile. It was down at the beach. Everyone was drinking, dancing, and some were even making out. He finally went home after he realized that he had had one too many and upon entering his room he plopped on hi bed and went right to sleep. Not even bothering to change out of the clothes he was wearing.
The next morning, everyone seemed be in a panic. Running around like mad men and women. Everyone he tried talking to just turned th other way and ran. He eventually found one of his best friends, James. When Tyler asked what was going on, James looked at him and said, "You don't know." But the way he said it instantly put a bad feeling in Tyler's gut. Like everything he ever knew was about to be turned upside down.
"No, what happened?" He asked, dreading the answer.
James eyes filled with tears, and it looked like he didn't want to be the one to bear the bad news. "Your parents are dead." He breathed out, then wrapped Tyler in a hug, practically catching him before he fell to the floor.
Dead? They couldn't possibly be dead. I just can't believe it. I won't believe it! I refuse! Tyler thought to himself as he stood there shaking his head, knowing deep down that it was true. He felt it all along, but wouldn't admit it.
"How could this be? I just saw them last night!" Tyler exclaimed in pure denial, still not fully recovered from the news.
"There was a raid at the northern border. Some people from the SilverLake pack. At first it just looked like a bunch of drunken fools, but it was a trap. They were waiting for us. They put an arrow in your mother before we even saw it coming, and your dad died in a fight between the other alpha. We think the other alpha died too. He lost a lot of bloomed before he finally got his teeth around your father's neck. You dad fought hard and no one will ever forget him." James barely whispered out, hating having to be the one to tell Tyler this. James hates disappointing his best friend, and to have to be the one to tell him this, it was just devastating He never wanted to be the one to have to break Tyler's heart. He was actually hoping that they'd be mates after they both turned 16. Yeah, that's a crazy thought, but one could dream.
"Why didn't anyone come and get me? Why did they let me sleep?! I could have helped!" Tyler screamed into James' shoulder, not wanting to believe what he was hearing.
"Your parents wanted to let you sleep. They thought that it wasn't anything to worry you about." James replied, sick with himself that he was the one who had to keep telling Tyler all the bad news.
"Then why did they have to go?" Tyler asked, feeling betrayed by his own parent. How could they leave me? Why did they have to go? He thought to himself.
"I don't know." James replied into Tyler's head, holding him tighter. Never wanting let go, and Tyler seemed to not want James to let him go.

The coronation
It was coronation day. The day that Tyler officially became alpha. But no one was truly in a good mood. Tyler's parents funeral was the day before, and they were all still upset from that. Tyler didn't ant to go through with the ceremony. Knowing as soon as he became alpha, then that would be it. That would be the last thing he could hold onto.
But he went through it, he did it for his parents. Knowing that this is what they would've wanted. He knelt down in front of the elders, chest exposed, and then the hot iron rod, with their packs crescent shaped into it, was press onto his right intrastate. Right above his heart. His body instantly felt the burn, but he stood his ground. Not wanting to show weakness to his pack.
When the branding was done, he swore the packs oath. To protect, serve, and lead the Mountain View Pack to the best of his ability.
